Arthur R. Sypek, Jr.

Arthur Sypek is Of Counsel to Murphy Orlando. Mr. Sypek joined Murphy Orlando in 2011 from one of the state’s largest and oldest law firms and brings over 37 years of experience in municipal and county government to the firm.

Mr. Sypek currently serves as the Mercer County Counsel and previously served as Counsel to the Mercer County Board of Freeholders. His past local government experience includes serving as Solicitor for Evesham Township in Burlington County; Counsel to the Ewing Township and Lawrence Township Planning Boards; and Special Counsel to the Ewing Township and Lawrence Township Zoning Boards. Mr. Sypek has also served as Special Litigation Counsel to the City of Trenton and General Counsel to the New Jersey Association of Counties. Besides his governmental and administrative agency experience, Mr. Sypek has extensive experience in redevelopment and land use, having handled numerous complex land use applications representing both applicants and municipalities.

Law & Politics Magazine named Mr. Sypek a “Super Lawyer” in 2010 and 2011.*

Mr. Sypek is a founding member of Anchor House, New Jersey’s largest home for runaway and abused children located in Trenton. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from LaSalle University.
